NAMI NH CONNECT PROGRAM Young Adults Helping Persons at Risk of Suicide and Substance Misuse

There are two key elements to this FREE program for young adults, 18-26:

Day 1 (3 hrs.)

The first is a presentation of the new hybrid CONNECT – This model incorporates the linkage between substance misuse/use and the potential risk of suicide and is infused with age-appropriate activities and language. This 3 hr training is open to all YOUNG ADULTS of the Greater Manchester community that may be interested in attending. This session is limited to 20 participants.

DAY 2 (6 hrs.)

The second element of this opportunity is a Train-the-trainer (T3) training session, which prepares teams of two young adult trainers to present this program to their peers. The T3 element requires this additional 6 hours of training. All those interested in becoming trainers are required to attend both elements of this opportunity. Moving forward, training teams will be able to train their peers in this important program. This session is limited to 20 participants.

This training will fill up fast, so please rsvp to Kristie Curtis at kc@mih4u.org or by phone at 603.660.9258.
